FireDrake Ikuchi is a flame treatment device for bottle preforms.
How it works:
Once the START button is pressed, the device turns on, the gas valve opens and the gas starts burning.
The preforms fall into the centrifugal feeder from an elevator coming from the injection molder. The centrifugal force and an orienting device arrange them in a straight line, so that they can move to the chute.
The preforms fall down the chute, which water cools them. The falling speed can be adjusted by changing the chute angle.
The preforms fall through a ring burner fueled with a mixture of gas and compressed air. The ionized gas activates the surface of the preforms.
The burner is equipped with an electrode controlled by the flame controller, which creates the spark that starts the flame and then monitors the condition of the flame.
If during operation:
– the flame goes out,
– the compressed air stops flowing,
– there 30s or more have elapsed since the last preform was activated,
– the EMERGENCY STOP button is pressed,
the gas flow will get cut off and the device will turn off. In order to restart the device, it is necessary to remove the cause of its prior deactivation and press the RESET button.
If the STOP button is pressed, the conveyers stop and the gas valve is closed.
